How it works

From the Chamber's records to a plain answer

The work of parliament is public, but spread across thousands of documents almost nobody reads. OpenParliament turns them into structured data an assistant can reason over.

Official records

Plenary and committee transcripts, roll-call votes, written questions and the member registry, collected from dekamer.be and refreshed every night.

One connected graph

Members, parties, votes, bills, questions and speeches are linked, with each Member's party resolved as it stood on the day of every event.

Traceable answers

The assistant queries this data through our MCP server and cites the source document behind every claim, so you can check it yourself.

Judged on the work, not the noise

OpenParliament gives citizens, journalists and civil society a neutral way to see what Members of the Chamber actually do: show up, speak, vote and ask questions.

It reports facts, not verdicts. It does not score parties or take sides — the aim is a parliament whose work is transparent, comparable and assessed on the record rather than on media attention.
